So Sayeth Shakespeare

Good day fair maidens and fellows alike...
I find myself playing catch up with the postings.
To be or not to be...that is the posting question....

The reigning celebrity of Stratford..

Chris got right in the swing of things..

Cheerio ladies and gents...
Sorry for the lag in posts.  Chris and I had
quite a time getting pictures to load on my iPad.

Here we are in front of our cozy cottage in the Cotswolds.
Not far from Stow on the Wold.  Little Broom is run by our hostess
Brenda.  We've eaten fresh picked tomatoes from her garden
and milk straight off the delivery truck!

Pencil Party

Hello my faithful few!
I've had a busy couple of weeks, but not a lot
of photo's to back it up.
Chris and I went to the Whiteaker Block Party
which was a lot of fun and very colorful.
We went to the Lyle Lovett concert at the Hult Center.
3 hours of awesome music.
I had another dinner with Miss Bliss, Dee Dee Divine
and Vivacious Vee.  You remember these ladies...

But what I'm going to talk to you about today is
one of my all time loves.  Colored Pencils...
Let's call it a Pencil Party!

Miss Kitty is the guardian keeper of the colors.

Here is her friend...Goth Kitty..who has nothing
whatsoever to do with this post.
But she sure is hip and cool!

Let's get out our supplies and Dream and Create....

I took an online course with Jane Davenport.
She loves to play with color too.
Here was my first attempt using her techniques.

Here was my next attempt.  For this one I looked at
a reference picture.  I love the work of Tamara de Lempicka.

As you can see...my picture turned out nothing like hers.
And that is just fine.  This is the way we learn.

I found a picture in a magazine.
I liked the huge bow in the girls hair.

Portrait with colored pencils...attempt 3.

Here is a colored pencil bouquet just for my readers.
Doesn't it make you want to play?
Okay kids....Dream...Create...
and live in full color!!
